PitchBook in Market Intelligence Platform
PitchBook covers private companies, deals, investors and funds, with the Navigator generative AI tool for plain-language research. Pricing is sales-led, and API access is a separate premium contract.
Best for
Private equity, venture and investment banking teams needing deep private-market coverage
Pricing
PitchBook does not publish plan prices, and subscriptions are sold through a sales call. Third-party estimates vary: one customer-reported figure is $12,000 a year for one seat, and one comparison site gives a median of $30,000 a year, so treat both as rough estimates. Its API and data feeds, sold as PitchBook Direct Data, are priced separately and vary with seat count and products.
What it covers
PitchBook's venture page cites 145,000+ VC-backed companies and 759,000+ venture deals. At Navigator's launch, its answers covered companies, transactions and market themes, with plans to widen that scope.
Citations and verification
The launch release describes Navigator answers built on PitchBook's own data, with human review added. Early testers praised the references to source data and the links back to sources.
API
PitchBook Direct Data offers an API that returns specific data points on request and a data feed that delivers files on a schedule, under its own contract. Navigator was also announced with a planned ChatGPT integration.
